You may have heard of the new MEES (Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards) that the majority of businesses will need to comply with from April 2018. MEES Rating of E
All landlords of commercial premises must ensure a minimum EPC rating of “E”. If your rating is less than an E there is a fine of min £5k, max £50k. If no work is completed in the next 3 months the fine will be min £10k Max £150k. This fine is applicable to the landlord of the property.
